How did cannabis come into your life?

My love for cannabis began in San Francisco where I was born & learned from my family about the psychedelic revolution of the 60s & 70s. In college at UC Santa Cruz I was introduced to wonderful farmers & helped friends trim their buds.

Why have you been inspired to work with cannabis?

I discovered the LA cannabis community through the 99 High Art Collective in Venice Beach owned by our founders! There was an incredible healing community who were drawn to this plant that made LA feel more like home.

I’ve been working with cannabis in a retail setting in LA since 2010 & it has been an amazing journey.

I began working at the Green Goddess Collective as a budtender which was a wonderfully wild place in Venice Beach to experience cannabis culture. There I began learning cannabis business management. In 2015, I was asked to help the team in Malibu open the 99 High Tide Collective. I have done everything under the stars with High Tide from product selection, hiring, training, HR, marketing, accounting, you name it! I have been the General Manager since June 2016.
